    With the current increase in transformer demand and the expansion of power demand, transmission abuse is still the top priority of the Brazilian government.

     

    In addition, accelerated construction activities in the power generation segment (hydroelectric, thermal, renewable and biomass plants) necessitate expansion of transmission networks to carry additional power.

     

    The installation of power and distributions transformers thus continues to grow in importance.

    Brazil's grid is expected to witness serious congestion in the coming future necessitating network expansion which will give rise to opportunity for players operating in Brazil's power and distribution transformers market.

     

    According to the government's plan, an estimated $58.6 billion will be required to expand the country's installed capacity and transmission grids by 2015. The gross benefits of the large investment will be levied by transmission companies, EPC companies and equipment suppliers which also includes power & distribution transformers.

     

    According to Brazil Power & Distribution Transformers Market Forecast & Opportunities, 2019, the power & distribution transformers market in Brazil is forecast to grow at a CAGR of around 5.6% till 2019.
