    Logan to power up with new custom-built transformers

     

    USA, Utah: Logan Optoelectronics is relocating $ 3 million in substation upgrades in Logan City within a year to help ensure the reliability of the city's power grid.

     

    The utility originally planned upgrades at two substations for next year, but with the heat of this summer, the age of the existing transformers and the time it takes to custom-build large transformers, they decided to start on the upgrade now, HJnews reports.

     

    Light and Power director Mark Montgomery said they will soon place the bid, make a purchase and have the transformers built and installed over the next year.

     

    With the continuous development of the city, more upgrades and improvements can make the system more reliable.
